“For the 2023 National Job Fair, we will provide 56,566 job vacancies from 135 companies, 10 of them are opening job vacancies for people with disabilities,” she informed in Jakarta on Friday.
Fauziyah said she hopes that this year’s job fair will be as effective as the previous year’s in bringing job seekers and companies together.
“Last year’s job fair had an extraordinary workforce absorption, around 15 thousand. For this year, I hope the event will be effective in connecting employers and job seekers. There will be around 56 thousand job vacancies for job seekers,” she added.
According to the minister, the job fair is one of the activities organized by her ministry at the 2023 National Vocational Training and Job Fair Festival.
Besides job fairs, the ministry has been conducting several activities such as vocational training and product exhibitions, seminars, certifications, employment services, skills competitions, employment vocational training ecosystem “meet-ups,” and entertainment.
The National Vocational Training Festival and Job Fair will run from October 27–29, 2023, at Jakarta International Expo in Central Jakarta.
The event was opened by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin on Friday. Amin, who was accompanied by Minister Fauziyah, opened the fair by pressing a screen.
Speaking at the opening, he lauded the initiative of the Manpower Ministry for organizing the event.
He also expressed the hope that the activity would become an effective step to disseminate information on the implementation of vocational training as well as help stakeholders, including job seekers, employers, and other employment stakeholders, benefit from the vocational training process.
“I hope that all efforts to revitalize vocational training can have a broad impact, with the benefits felt by all Indonesian people and related stakeholders,” he disclosed.
