“Most of KCIC’s business transactions continue to be carried out domestically, so it is hoped that the circulation of funds will continue to provide optimal benefits for the national economy,” KCIC’s general manager and corporate secretary, Eva Chairunisa, said in Bogor on Saturday.
The Whoosh Fast Train is a fast train launched as part of a collaboration between Indonesia and China, she added.
The China Development Bank (CDB) is the creditor funding the Whoosh Fast Train project.
To ensure smooth transactions, KCIC and CDB are collaborating with several banks that are fully operational in Indonesia under the supervision of Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and have international networks, one of which is Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).
She said that BNI is a national bank that has become KCIC’s partner for company transactions, including employee payroll, financing, and bill payments to third parties.
KCIC has also continued to collaborate with national banks — from both HIMBARA (association of state-owned banks) and the private sector, especially Bank Mandiri, BNI, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), and Bank Central Asia (BCA) — for processing orders and payments for high-speed train ticketing transactions.
The collaboration, which is already underway, includes providing ticket booking services on the Livin by Mandiri and BRImo applications.
Payment for ticket orders can be made through all banks in Indonesia using Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS). Such payments can be made at merchant outlets, ticket-purchasing machines, and station counters.
KCIC is also collaborating with National Payment Gateway service providers, including Doku, Finnet, and Xendit, to increase customer convenience.
Chairunisa said that KCIC has also provided BNI ATMs at the KCIC Halim Office and most recently, BRI ATMs at Halim High-Speed Train Station, Tegalluar High-Speed Train Station, and Halim KCIC Office.
The service aims to make it easier for passengers and the public to carry out banking transactions when leaving or arriving at the High-Speed Train Station and KCIC Office.
“Collaboration with various banking financial institutions also continues to be expanded. Communication and exploration with banking institutions and other parties continues to be carried out so that services to the public and passengers become more optimal,” she said.
